You don’t have to blame yourself for failing to love yourself.

Howdy, it’s me, Kana( @kpagtscrrr )!
Welcome to KANALOG!

It’s been a while since my last post…….!

Sometimes…….no, most of the time, I failed to be confident about myself when I was in high school. I went through a hard time accepting myself when I was younger than now. I became more confident than before but still, I feel insecure sometimes. Today I would like to let you know how I gained the confidence.

By the way,

When you want to be confident about yourself, the most effective way is to love yourself.

I have heard these tons of times. And I know this is the easiest thing to say and the most difficult thing to do.

Actually, I would often look for ” how to be confident” on the internet when I was younger. And every website stated ” LOVE YOURSELF. “

But think about it. If you force yourself to love yourself and end up failing, you blame yourself, right? and then you hate yourself more than before. Wow, what a bad cycle!

Here is what I think.

You don’t have to force yourself to love yourself.

I don’t remember when it was for me, but as you get older, at some points, you realize that you are special and you are beautiful because you are different. At some point, you can accept true yourself.

This point doesn’t come to everyone at the same time. It is different from person to person, so you don’t have to rush to reach that point.

I can say this with a lot of confidence because I went through this time.

When I was in high school, I thought I was chubby and ugly and I felt like no one would not like me. I was super depressed. Since I wanted to be confident about my body shape at least, I went on a diet. I succeeded in losing weight, and my looks changed a lot. But I couldn’t get the confidence.

What is worse, I became more and more insecure. I don’t know why. Bu this experience and result told me that changing outside doesn’t always make us feel good.

The main point I wanted to tell you today was that you are enough.

Even if you can not accept yourself now, you don’t have to worry about it. You will be able to do that at some point.
